A finalist student of Bachelors of Statistics has died hours after sitting his last year paper.
Mulungi Henry died on 15th May, 2025 shortly on arrival at the University Hospital.
According to Rodney Rugyema, the Acting Dean of Students, Mulungi who had a pre-existing heart condition had just been reviewed at the Uganda Heart Institute, Mulago, the previous day.
Mulungi was laid to rest on Saturday, 17th May, 2025 at his ancestral home in Kalagala village, Mubende district.
A friend to the deceased posted on X saying, “Life is so complicated. Mulungi Henry did his UACE examinations bed ridden, scored 20 points & joined Makerere University – and then died after his very last paper at Uni last week. Sometimes you don’t become part of the future you fight very hard for. Sad!!!🥲”
