Government has is going to tarmack 16 major roads in the next Financial Year 2025/2026

 

This was revealed in a brief X message by the Government of Uganda saying, “President Museveni has announced a major boost in Uganda’s road infrastructure.”

 

 

Under the NRM leadership Museveni, strategic road infrastructure is taking shape across Uganda, improving access, boosting trade, and connecting communities.

 

 

  1. Yumbe-Ure Road and Bridge 23.6Kms
  2. Katine-Ochero plus town roads in Kalaki and Kaberemaido 69.3 and 2.9Kms
  3. Kyenjonjo-Kihura- Bwizi-Rwamwanja-Kahunge and Mpara-Bwizi 105Kms
  4. Iganga-Bulopa-Kamuli-Jinja 56.3Kms
  5. Mbulamuti-Kamuli-Bukungu 127Kms
  6. Jinja City Roads 10Kms
  7. Kitgum-Kidepo 115Kms
  8. Ishasha-Katunguru 88Kms
  9. Luku-Kalangala- Mulabana 65.3Kms
  10. Kalangala Town Roads 10.67 Kms
  11. Nabumali-Butaleja-Namutumba 72Kms
  12. Karenga-Kapedo-Kaabong 73Kms
  13. Kotido- Kaabong 69.6 Kms
  14. Bubulo-Bududa Circular Road 25 Kms
  15. Mbale-Nkonkojeru 21 Kms
  16. Kabwohe- Nyakambu- Bwizibwera and Nyakambu-Nsiika 46.4 Kms

Meanwhile, road projects nearing completion are;

 

📌 Muyembe–Nakapiripirit – 92km + 25km of service roads

📌Kira–Matugga – 21km + 5 upgraded junctions

📌Tororo–Busia – 26km

📌 Mayuge & Busia Town Roads – 18km

📌 Kawuku–Bwerenga – 6.6km

📌Apac–Lira–Puranga – 100km

📌Namugonde–Bugiri Fuel Tank Access Road – 1.6km

 

These roads will improve market access, ease travel time, and support regional development.
