Sironko District Woman Member of Parliament aspirant, Aisha Nabulo Mafabi, has been nominated unopposed as the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party flag bearer ahead of the 2026 general elections.
Aisha, daughter of Sironko District NRM boss, Sulaiman Mafabi Lumolo, was confirmed as unopposed by NRM Electoral Commission Chairperson, Dr. Tanga Odoi on Tuesday, 17th June, 2025 after her challengers decided to go Independent.
In her address following the nomination, Aisha expressed deep gratitude to God and the people of Sironko for their unwavering support.
“I thank God for His grace and the people of Sironko for always standing with me in this journey. Many candidates across the country have faced competition in the party who am I to go unopposed? It’s your prayers and efforts that have made this possible,” she said.
Aisha urged the people of Sironko to remain focused and united throughout the electoral period.
“It’s not enough until it’s enough. Let us stay focused till the last day,” she emphasized.
Nabulo also pledged to continue serving the district with the same dedication and passion she has shown even before officially entering Parliament.
“I promise to remain Aisha, grounded and committed to serving Sironko. Expect even greater service delivery when I am in Parliament,” she concluded.
Minister Nambozo the incumbent didn’t pick nomination forms to contest for the seat on NRM ticket.
