BUDAKA: Vehicle Rams into Six Pedestrians, Critically Injuring Them

BUDAKA

 

A serious road accident occurred on June 26, 2025, at around 8:00 PM, in Kasoli along the Mbale-Tirinyi road in Budaka District.

 

A Toyota Gallo, registration number UAR 921K, driven by an unknown driver, knocked down six pedestrians.

 

The victims, have all been admitted to Budaka Health Centre IV, except for one who was referred to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital.

 

According to Bukedi North police spokesperson, Wilfred Kyepasa the victims are Kabira Kalim, 22, a student at Humanity, Bambala James, 20, a resident of Nakibulu zone, Budaka District, Nekesa Nasabu, 35, a peasant from Naigobya zone, Budaka Town Council, Musana Swabur, 17, a resident of Naladu Village, Nabweyo parish, Budaka Town Council, Higenyi Mubakar, 15, a pupil from Nakajete, Macholi, Budaka Town Council.

 

And Zeodi Boyi, 17, a pupil who was referred to Mbale for treatment.

 

He says police are investigating the incident, and the vehicle has been impounded at Budaka police station pending inspection. A team of traffic officers led by AIP Talunga visited the scene.
