BUKEDEA
The LCV district chairperson, Bukedea, Mary Akol has today 22nd, July 2025 withdrawn from the race for the position of the district chairperson.
Akol submitted her withdrawal letter today to the NRM office, Bukedea, a day to the election leaving her counterparts Simon Ongura and Joseph Onange.
Akol’s cited her ill-health as reason why she can’t be able to participate in election.
Mr. Charles Otai, the Bukedea District NRM party registrar confirmed her resignation saying, Akol’s health status couldn’t allow her to continue in the race.
Ms Akol replaced late Moses Olemukan who emerged as Bukedea district chairperson on independent ticket after challenging Mr. William Wilberforce Tukei who won the NRM flag in 2021 elections.
