BREAKING! Serere NRM District Registrar Remanded For Falsifying MP Primary Results

The NRM registrar for Serere district, William Olir, has been charged with two counts of forgery and falsification of declaration forms and remanded to Serere Government Prison until August 5 this year.

 

Olir who was arrested on Wednesday appeared before the Serere Grade One Magistrate, Eddmond Okiror Okwi today, Thursday, 24th July, 2025.

 

Olir is accused of falsifying NRM forms for Pingire County, falsely declaring Peter Paul Emaju as the elected NRM Flagbearer for Kasilo County despite allegedly not being the right winner.

 

The complaints were raised by Esther Acom who contested against Minister Hellen Adoa for Serere Woman MP Flag and Peter Ojiit who contested for the Pingire County NRM Flag.

 

Prosecution led by State Attorney, Paul Okello says investigations are over and court hearing will start on 5th August, 2025.
