The South Sudan government has refuted media reports that the Republic of South Sudan is engaged in discussion with Israel to resettle Palestinian Nationals from Gaza in South Sudan.
In a statement dated today, 13th August, 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation says these recent media reports are baseless and, “do not reflect the official position or policy of the government of South Sudan.”
“Therefore the Ministry urges all media outlets to exercise due diligence and verify information through official channels before publication,” reads the statement in part.
