The NRM Elections Tribunal has in its latest ruling removed the NRM Flag from Umar Nangoli who had earlier been declared winner of the Northern City Division Primaries elections in Mbale City.
The ruling passed on 22nd August, 2025 and signed by the Chairman of the Tribunal, John Musiime, the Flag has now been handed over to Hudu Hussein.
“The Petitioner, Mr Hudu Hussein is declared as the duly elected NRM Flag bearer for Northern Division Constituency, Mbale City,” reads the ruling.
According to the Tribunal, the initial difference in votes between Nangoli and Huddu, 591 was successfully extinguished and surpassed by the Petitioner, (Huddu) who now leads with a margin of 336 votes.
