Brenda Nanyonjo, the Founder of Miss Uganda Foundation says this partnership was done under the “Beauty with Purpose Outreach” program concerning young mothers and teenage pregnancies and early marriages. She adds that the partnership is aimed at ensuring that girl children keep in school adding that they are looking at extending the same initiative across the country.

Naigaga Miriam Norah, the Miss Uganda East and Nabulo Stephanie Gloria, both Miss Uganda contestants say that the teenage pregnancy situation is worrying and calling for immediate action. They add that the advocacy should include both boys and girls for better action.
