A fire outbreak at Bwaise Business Complex in the Industrial Area has left many traders counting losses.
The fire outbreak that occurred on Aug 30, 2025, at 12:30 AM is suspected to have originated from a power source, spread rapidly, affecting timber shops and wood stores.
According to SSP Patrick Onyango, the KMP Police Spokesperson, Police responded promptly, with eight firefighting trucks and put out the fire.
He says that although properties worth millions of shillings were lost, there was no life lost in the fire that occurred shortly after midnight when traders had left for their homes.
