One person has died and two others have been injured in a road crash in Kapchorwa District.
The crash occurred on Wednesday evening, 17th September, 2025 at Sipi Town Council along the Kapchorwa-Mbale Highway.
It involved a Fuso truck registration number UBH 197R, which was heading to Kampala, that lost control and rammed into a stationary Isuzu truck.
According to Fredmark Chesang, the Sipi Region Police spokesperson, the Fuso truck was descending a steep section of the road when it veered off and crashed into the stationary vehicle.
He says the deceased has been identified only as Lawrence, and the injured include Resty and a teenager identified as Latif.
The injured were rushed to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital for treatment.
According to an eyewitness, the vehicle appeared to have experienced brake failure before crashing.
