ASP Clive Nsiima has been charged with assault and malicious damage to property after destroying the smartphone of the victim, Pellan Atuhumuriize. The officer pleaded not guilty to the offences and also asked for bail whose ruling has been scheduled for 16th October.
Nsiima appeared before the City Hall Magistrates Court on Monday, 13th October, 2025, following an incident in which he was caught on camera allegedly assaulting a petrol station attendant in Kyanja last week.
His lawyer told the court that the two parties have since reached a reconciliation agreement. Nsiima has been remanded until October 16, 2025.
