Uganda Police Force has released a statement regarding what it calls,“Crackdown on rising campaign violence” where it has identified the ten suspects arrested for allegedly vandalizing a Police Vehicle in Lira.

Police press release 28th October

According to the statement dated Wednesday, 29th October, 2025, the 10 suspects who are in Lira Central Police Station awaiting guidance from the Director of Public Prosecutions, allegedly vandalized a Police Surveillance Vehicle at Obot A, village near Obot Primary school on 28th October.

They are Ssembusi Precious Paul, Bukenya Ismail, Lokoro Liberty, Nakabuye Mastura and Waiswa Raston.

Others are; Nasozi Hope, Saliman Kagwa, Kamulegeya Regan, and Lubega Alison.

Police disputes the Foot Soldiers allegations that the surveillance vehicle had a jammer that was interrupting their online network, arguing that the vehicle has been on this surveillance for long and yet NUP has been streaming live on various media platforms.

“We shall go for conflict entrepreneurs who have chosen to confront police officers at leisure and turned aggression, belligerence and violence into a habit,” warns police.
