UPDATE: Three Suspects Arrested Over Murder of 27-Year Katakwi D.J, Two Remain at Large

KATAKWI

 

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing of the 27-year-old Katakwi DJ and peasant of Alleles-Magoro Southern Ward, Katakwi Town Council, Katakwi district who was discovered on 23rd November 2025 from a water-filled pit at Angopet Cell, Katakwi Town Council.

 

Following the incident that occurred during the night of 22nd November 2025, a progressive report and preliminary findings have indicated that the deceased was killed in a fight over a girl, who has been arrested and names withheld.

 

Those currently arrested as suspects include; Emmanuel Omongin Aka Vet resident of Angopet Cell, Stephen Obungan, boda-boda rider at Stage B a resident of Apeleun Cell, and Betty Oboliale.

 

 

Superintendent of Police, Regional Police Commander East Kyoga, Ibrahim Saiga, confirmed that police in Katakwi have arrested three major suspects, while two remain at large, and efforts to apprehend them are ongoing.

 

According to RPC, investigations to identify any additional accomplices continue, and further updates will be provided.
