Namisindwa District Council has today, Thursday, December 18, 2025 elected a new Deputy Speaker.
Titus Wokori, representing Bumumali Sub-county, was elected unopposed.
Dorothy Nebokhe Walukawu, the Namisindwa district Local Council Speaker who presided over the election, said Wokori replaced Ronald Butsiba who joined the local government as a civil servant last month.
Emma Bwayo, the youth councilor and NRM district LCV flag bearer, congratulated Wokori and expressed readiness to work with him for Namisindwa’s development.
Wokori thanked his fellow councilors and called for collaboration to develop Namisindwa.
