The Electoral Commission has officially declared NRM Flagbearer for Rwampara District Woman MP in the 2026 Parliamentary Elections.
NRM’s Kansiime Annah was declared unopposed today, Wednesday, 7th January, 2026 by Nabaasa Nathan, EC Returning Officer, Rwampara Electoral Area.
The declaration follows the withdrawal of Kansiime’s opponents who include NRM leaning Independent Molly Asiimwe who bowed out of the race on10th December, 2025 after a harmonisation meeting facilitated by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa.
Similarly, on 19th December, 2025, Sarah Kiconco, the NUP candidate joined NRM and withdrew from the race leaving Kansiime Unopposed.
