State minister for Animal industry Minister Bright Rwamirama Kanyontore has today Saturday 10th January been declared unopposed in the race for Isingiro North parliamentary seat.
This follows the withdrawal of Alliance for National Transformation candidate Anthony Rutahwire from the contest under circumstances that remain unclear.
Earlier, the Electoral Commission had disqualified other contenders, including Ankunda Best Anorld of the PFF and Ntanda Sharif, after determining that they had allegedly forged the signatures of their seconders, despite having initially been nominated.
