EC Sets Date for Rescheduled Polling in 3 Suspended MP Constituencies

The Electoral Commission has officially set Tuesday, 27th January 2026 as the new polling day for elections of Directly-Elected Members of Parliament in three constituencies where voting was previously suspended.

 

The rescheduled elections in all polling stations are in Kibanda North Constituency in Kiryandongo district, Ibanda Municipality and 18 polling stations in Awori, Acede, Ojul and Owalo parishes in Ajuri Constituency, Alebtong district. All the three are for directly elected Members of Parliament.

 

According to EC official statement issued on 23rd January, polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with counting and the declaration of results to follow immediately after.

 

Voters in these constituencies are urged to participate in the rescheduled elections to ensure that their voices are heard.
