Uganda National Examinations Board, (UNEB) has recovered the previously announced missing Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) Integrated Science scripts for learners of Bamure Primary School, Koboko District.

This was revealed today, Tuesday, February 3, 2026 by the UNEB’s Principal Public Relations Officer, Jennifer Kalule-Musumba in a press statement.

Kalule says the recovery follows an investigation instituted by the Board after it established that the scripts of 34 candidates from the school were missing.

“Consequently, the affected learners were temporarily awarded an “X” as thorough checks were undertaken at the marking centres and later at the school,” says Kalule.

The investigation took UNEB officials to the affected school where the scripts were found in the lockable box for UNEB materials in the office of the Headmaster in a sealed script envelope.

“For avoidance of doubt, the envelope was first handed over to Koboko Central Police Station who collected it from the school, and confirmed that it had not been tampered with,” says Kalule.

She says the scripts have been conveyed to UNEB and examiners have since been invited to mark the scripts, after which the candidates will be duly graded.

Uneb assures the affected candidates and parents that the scripts will be expeditiously marked and graded before selection and placement of S.1 students.
