Hit-Run Car Leaves Two Pupils Dead In Fatal Road Crash Along Kumi-Pallisa Highway

Two primary school pupils of Kadusok Primary School have been killed after being hit by an unknown vehicle in Akutai Village, Kadusok Parish, Kibale County, Pallisa District.

 

According to Wilfred Kyempasa the Bukedi North region police spokesperson, the incident happened on Wednesday, 24th February, 2026 at about 1:30PM.

 

Kyempasa identifies the deceased as Achom Ann, 6, and Amoding Betty, 8, both pupils of Kadusok Primary School, who were walking along the road in a group when they were struck by the vehicle, which was heading towards Pallisa from Kumi.

 

He says the driver fled the scene, leaving the injured girls to die while the rest of the group ran away before being hit. Police have launched a hunt for the vehicle and driver, and investigations are ongoing under CASE FILE TSD 02/25/2026.

 

Kyempasa adds that the bodies have been taken to Pallisa General Hospital Mortuary pending postmortem.
