Police in Luuka District are searching for Isabirye Paul, a man suspected of killing his father, Isabirye George alias Mukaga, 57, in a suspected murder by assault.
The incident occurred in the early hours of February 26, 2026, at around 4:00 a.m at the family’s home in Buyunze B Village, Nakabugu Parish, Bulongo Sub-county.
According to Samson Lubega, the police spokesperson of Busoga North Police, preliminary findings indicate the victim had fatal head injuries, and a struggle is believed to have occurred prior to the incident.
He says that a domestic dispute over land and sugarcane management is suspected to be the motive.
The suspect is on the run, and police are appealing to the public for information leading to his arrest.
