MBALE DISTRICT
Busano Senior Secondary School Parents located at Busano Sub County in Mbale district on Monday, 23rd March, 2026 elected new PTA Chairperson during the Annual General Meeting.
The election was conducted by Sam Khaukha Paddy, the Mbale District Education Officer during the AGM where Gerald Masaba passed unopposed.
Speaking after the election, Khaukha urged parents and the school to work with the new elected Chairperson to develop the school and increase the population which had gone down.
The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Mbale District, Mr. Bayole Stanley, praised Busano Secondary School for fostering a remarkable bond between the school and the community.
In his address, the RDC thanked parents for their active participation and commitment to their children’s education. He took the opportunity to caution students against the dangers of drug abuse, early sexual activities, and other negative influences that could hinder their future prospects.
In his remarks, the Deputy Headteacher of Busano SS, Engineer Daniel Washaki, expressed gratitude to parents for their unwavering support, particularly highlighting the proposed construction of a high-raised building at the school.
