KAMPALA: Thugs Break Into SDA Church, Mosque

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a break-in at Kavumba SDA Church, located in Wakiso Town Council, Wakiso District where a music amplifier and mixer were stolen on the night of April 11, 2026.

 

According to ACP Kituuma Rusoke, the Police Spokesperson, police acted swiftly and successfully recovered the stolen items from a nearby house, along with additional property that had earlier been stolen from a mosque.

 

He says the arrested suspects are currently in custody and assisting with investigations. They have been identified as; Ssekitooleko Ronald, Wabwire and a one Robert.

 

Police urge leaders of places of worship to strengthen security measures by deploying guards, Improving lighting around premises and installing CCTV surveillance systems

 

Kituuma says criminals are increasingly targeting both churches and mosques, making vigilance and proactive security essential.
