MBALE CITY
Mbale City authorities are set to resume enforcement operations following Cabinet’s decision to reinstate the Trade Order.
This was revealed to this publication by the Industrial City Division Town Clerk, Mugisha Geoffrey on Tuesday, 28th April, 2026 in an exclusive interview. Mugisha says that the enforcement activities will begin soon, and urged the public to comply with the regulations.
He warned that individuals misleading traders and residents to return to the streets are on the wrong, emphasizing that anyone found operating outside the set guidelines will face legal action.
Mugisha also cautioned the public against being influenced by selfish individuals noting that engaging in unauthorized and unsanitary developments could lead to financial losses.
Residents and business operators have been advised to adhere strictly to the restored order to avoid penalties as the city moves to streamline operations and maintain proper standards.
