The territorial police of Nebbi are investigating a case where two people were arrested with military/government stores in a joint intelligence led operation that was conducted on 19th June 2026.
The operation was conducted by the Police, UPDF (SFC), ISO, DIS and local leaders in Nebbi Municipality, where upon search at the residence of Obedgiu Isaac and another suspect only identified as Cosmas, assorted military and other government stores were recovered.
SSP Josephine Angucia, the police spokesperson for the West Nile Region said these were found with Binoculars, handcuffs, military footwear, and marijuana among others.
SSP Angucia confirmed the arrests, saying investigations are underway to establish how the suspects obtained the items.
She added that the recovered items are being documented as exhibits as investigators build a case ahead of prosecution and urged members of the public to continue supporting security efforts by providing timely and credible information to law enforcement agencies to fight crime.
