The Gulu University search committee for the position of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration) has shortlisted four candidates.
The Shortlist was arrived at in its 4th meeting held on June 4th and 5th 2026.
According to a press statement issued by Jerry Bagaya, Secretary to the Search Committee on Monday, 22nd June, 2026, the shortlisted candidates are; Dr. Collins Okello, (Phd) and an Associate professor in Gulu University. He is currently the Dean Faculty of Agriculture and Environment.
The second candidate is Daniel Komaketch, (Phd) an Associate Professor in Gulu University. Komaketch is currently Chief Directorate of Research and Graduate Training.
Eric Awich Ochen (Phd) an Associate Professor in Makerere University and Deputy Principal, College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Lastly, is Godfrey Akileng (Phd), an Associate Professor at Makerere University and Dean School of Business, College of Business and Management Sciences.
Established in 2002, Gulu University is a leading public institution in Northern Uganda. Located in Gulu City, it is highly respected for its hands-on, community-oriented approach, focusing heavily on agriculture, medicine, law, and peace studies to foster regional transformation.
Established by an Act of Parliament, it officially commenced teaching activities in September 2002.
