Public Procurement and Disposal Authority (PPDA) has suspended three Service providers from participating in public procurement and disposal of public assets proceedings.
The suspension is contained in a circular dated 23rd June, 2026 addressed to all Accounting Officers in Central and Local governments and signed by the Executive Director, Canon Benson Turamye.
One of the suspended companies is Okavango Logistics Limited which is being penalized for failing to provide materials for the rehabilitation of two passenger coaches at Nalukulongo workshop as per the contract with Uganda Railways. It has been suspended for one year.
Dita Limited has been suspended for three years for abandoning works contracted by Otuke District Local Government contrary to section 128(e) of the PPDA Act Cap.205.
Uptown Incorporation Limited has been suspended for a period of 2 years for submitting unauthentic supplier/distributor authorization in its bid to Uganda Revenue Authority.
The suspended companies shall not be awarded contracts during the course of the suspensions, and shall not have any dealings with Procuring and Disposal entities except for the running contracts.
Procuring and Disposal entities are also ordered not to sell or issue solicitation documents to the suspended companies or in anyway solicit bids from them.
They may apply for removal from the suspension list after expiry of the suspension period in writing and the Authority shall do so 15 days after receipt of the application.
