KAMPALA
Two Next Media staffers have died in a head-on collision on the Kampala-Entebbe highway early Friday morning, August 7th, 2026.
Badru Kasirye, a producer for NBS and Sanyuka TV, and content creator Isaac Ndamagye both lost their lives at the scene near Namulanda.
Brian “Makona” Ssemanda, an entertainment presenter known for UnCut Sabula, was critically injured and is now in the ICU at Kisubi Hospital.
The crash happened in the early hours after they left a celebrity boxing match at Supremacy Lounge in Nakulabye. The cause is still unknown, and police haven’t released an official statement yet. Next Media posted a statement mourning the two and confirming Makona is receiving care.
“Next Media confirms a road accident that occurred in the early hours of Friday, 7th August, 2026 along Entebbe Road involving three members of staff. Badru Kasirye, Isaac Ndamagye and Brian Makona Ssemanda,” reads NBS official statement.
The statement confirms that Badru Kasirye, Isaac Ndamagye unfortunately lost their lives in the accident while Makona is admitted at ICU.
