Tooro Kingdom has given the latest program for the return of the body of the fallen King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
According to the program, the body is expected to arrive at Entebbe International Airport on Friday, 4th September, 2026 at 10:00AM.
President Museveni is expected to receive the body at the Airport, pay his last respects and convey his condolences to the Family of the fallen King, the people of Tooro and Ugandans at large.
After the Entebbe Airport ceremony, the body will be flown by helicopter to Kyegegwa where the body will be placed on an open carriage to allow people along the route to pay their last respects.
A procession is expected to start from Kyegegwa District to the Karuzika palace in Fort Portal City for more traditional burial arrangements.
King Oyo died on August 27, 2026, at the age of 34 from the United States where he was receiving treatment for an aggressive brain cancer.
