Former LC III Chairperson of Nakisunga Sub-County in Mukono District has been arraigned before the Anti-Corruption Court and remanded until November 4th, 2026.

Sekikubo Mubarak who appeared before the court today, Monday, October 26, 2026 was charged with corruption and criminal conspiracy.

According to the State House Anti-Corruption Unit that carried out the investigations and arrest, Sekikubo criminally conspired with Mugerwa Ronald Saaku, a Probation and Welfare Officer for Lugazi Municipality, and Dr. Wataba Saadi, who are both still at large, to defraud Dr. Mukisa George William, a job applicant, of Shs38 million.

They allegedly falsely represented to Dr Mukisa that they could secure him a government position as a Medical Officer in Mukono District between January and June 2025.

Investigations further revealed that Mubarak and his alleged accomplices claimed that the money would be used to facilitate members of the Mukono District Service Commission to improperly influence the Commission’s decision-making and secure Dr. Mukisa the Medical Officer position in exchange for an undue advantage.
