The Inspectorate of Government has arrested Mr. Alfred Okuonzi, the former district chairperson of Arua DLG for allegedly selling the district’s motorcycle which was in his possession.
Mr. Okuonzi was today Friday, October 30, 2026 arrested together with his son and two brokers whom he had allegedly directed to sell the motorcycle at Shs6,500,000.
According to a statement by the Inspectorate of Government, the suspects will appear before the Anti-Corruption Court on Monday 2nd November, 2026.
