Finance Bank To Renovate Maternity Ward At Tororo Main Hospital

Housing Finance has pledged to paint and renovate the maternity ward at Tororo main hospital as part of its Social Cooperate Responsibility to the community.

While commissioning the exercise, the Managing Director, Michael Mugabi said the move is to ensure that mothers deliver in a conducive environment.

The Tororo district assistant Chief Administrative Officer, (ACAO), Samali Sabano while handing over the facility said that when renovated, the facility will attract more mothers to deliver at the hospital.


The Housing Finance Bank is in final stages of initiating incremental housing loan in a bid to make housing affordable to all Ugandans. This was revealed by the acting Executive Director, Peace Rabunga while meeting bank customers in Tororo on Wednesday 27th March.

Rabunga said that through this service, the bank will be able to support members to construct their houses from foundation to completion at an agreeable and affordable cost.

She added that Tororo district has been selected to pilot this program that will be rolled out to other places later.

Meanwhile Housing Finance Managing Director Michael Mugabi said they have also initiated an inter bank system with other banks. He also revealed that the bank has as well initiated several financial relief programs to save Ugandans out of poverty for instance a loan supporting farmers, contractors and big businessmen.
