MBALE CITY
Mbale Resident city commissioner (RCC) Ahamed Waskie has been transferred to Kumi district.
According to the transfer letter seen by our reporter from office of the President, Washakie has been told to adhere to the transfer with immediate effect.
Washakie replaced late Sulaiman Barasa Ogajo who was Mbale Resident District Commissioner in 2021.
He has left legacy behind after battling with corrupt government officers, and land grabbers which resulted into the arrest of Mulyanyima, the Nakoloke town clerk over the illegal selling of Nakaloke government land and the arrest of Mbale referral main hospital staff by State House Anti-Corruption Unit among other battles.
By press time new RCC to replace Washakie had not yet been known.
