Unknown thugs have broken into Nswanjere Junior Seminary located in Muduma sub county, Mpigi District  34 kilometers on Kampala-Mityana Highway desecrating its tabernacle in the process.

The unfortunate incident happened on 20/03/2023 at around 03:00 am where the same robbers injured Fr. Emmanuel Mukukule and Bro. John Bosco Mwasa, although they are out of danger.

“It is alleged that unknown assailants gained entrance into the school by cutting burbed wires fencing the school and proceeded to rob the school of various items including a TV, mobile phones, cash, a laptop, and the church Tabernacle,” ASP Luke Owoyesigyire has said in today’s statement.

According to a letter written to all the clergy and faithful in Kampala Arch Diocese by Fr. Pius Male Ssentumbwe,  Chancellor dated 20th March, 2023, the robbers vandalized the chapel and stole unspecified property.

Because the tabernacle was desecrated in the process, the Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere has called upon all faithful into a three days’ triduum of prayer for an act of Reparation.

A triduum is a three-day period of prayer, usually in preparation for an important feast or in celebration of that feast while, Reparation in Roman Catholic tradition is a prayer or devotion with the intent to cleanse the sins of others.

The three days’ Triduum begin today, 21st March, 2023 in which all people of God are requested to join in praying for healing, repentance and restitution of God’s Glory.

In the three days, the Archbishop requests all faithful to set aside an hour of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
