Residents of Makunya village, Makunya parish, Bumityelo Sub County in Namisindwa district are still in shock after Friday, 28th April incident where a housewife conspired with a lover to castrate her husband.
Cyrus Lumbuku, a neighbor to the couple identified the wife as Mary Siwundu, 25 and the husband as Jonan Nambuyila. He refused to disclose the identity of the lover who is currently on the run.
Lumbuku says the story started when the couple went out for a drink on Friday evening. Later the husband asked his wife to go back home with him which she resisted apparently because she had plans of meeting up with her lover.
Lumbuku adds that Nambuyila decided to leave the wife and went home.
“The two however, followed him up to his home and found him sleeping, they then went pulling his manhood and twisting with the intention of killing him,” Lumbuku told this website.
Joseph Suti, the LCI chairperson of Makunya village, Makunya parish Bumityelo Sub County confirmed the incident saying that Nambuyila is currently in critical condition and has been admitted at nearby Magale health center III for treatment.
He adds that Siwundu is currently being detained at Bumbo police post as the lover is still on the run.
Getting a comment from police by press time was futile after Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson said he had not yet been fed with the information.
