The Director of Public Prosecutions, Jane Abodo has dropped all charges against the Musinga of the Rwenzururu, Charles Wesley Mumbere.
Charges against 217 others who were accused and charged together with him have also been freed.
The DPP dropped the charges in the morning of today, 13th June, 2023 after Mumbere’s application for Amnesty was granted.
Mumbere and 217 others have been facing charges of murder, treason and aggravated robbery.
