KIBUKU: Suspected Motorcycle Thief Clobbered To Death by Angry Mob

A suspected motorcycle thief has been lynched by an angry mob of boda boda riders in Kibuku district.

 

The incident happened on Monday, 31st July, 2023 at Kitantalo 1 Cell, Kitantalo Ward, Tirinyi Town Council in Kibuku District.

 

According to Sam Kyeita Sharif, an eye witness, deceased was got with red Bajaj motorcycle number UFK 013D which the area residents suspected was stolen.

 

When he was asked to provide evidence about the ownership of the motorcycle, he failed attracting the wrath of the Boda Boda riders who descended on him with sticks and stones killing him on the spot.

 

He then rushed to report to police but by the time the police arrived at the scene, the suspect was already dead.

 

Immaculate Also Emily, the police spokesperson of North Bukedi region has confirmed the incident saying that Investigations have commenced at Kibuku CPS Vide CRB 197/023.

 

She adds that the body is at  Kibuku H/C IV Mortuary pending Postmortem and  Motorcycle Reg No. UFK 013D (Bajaj Boxer) was recovered at the crime scene.
