A 68 year old man has been lynched by residents who found him red-handed stealing onions from the garden of the area LC1 Chairperson.
The deceased identified as Wachamba Booba, a resident of Loogo Village, Zesui Parish, Zesui Sub-County, Sironko District was killed at about 3:00AM on Tuesday night.
According to the Elgon region police spokesperson, SP Rogers Taitika, Wachamba was allegedly found stealing Onions of LC one Chairperson of Masola village, Wataka James.
“It’s alleged he was arrested by yet unidentified people who cut him several times to death and after transported and dumped the body in a coffee plantation of Wamasali Zeveral of Masola Village, Zesui Parish, Zesui Sub-County in Sironko District,” says Taitika.
A case of murder has been opened at Sironko CPS VIDE CRB:88/2024 as investigations continue to arrest the mob members.
