The office of the Inspector General national Police Service has spoken out on missing police officer deployed in the Kenyan led Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti.
According to a statement issued today, Wednesday, 26th March, 2025 by the Spokesperson, National Police Service, Muchiri Nyanga, the unnamed police officer was reported missing on Tuesday, 25th March following an ambush by gangsters.

He confirms that the officer who was on duty went missing after an ambush along the Carrefour Paye Savien main supply route in the Ponte-Sonde area, Artibonite Department.
He says the Multinational Security Support Mission in collaboration with the Haitian National Police is actively conducting a search and rescue operation to locate the missing officer.
