The Elgon Region Police spokesperson, Rogers Taitika, has issued a strong warning to parents, relatives, and guardians against forcing their way into the training grounds of the Police Special Constables (PSC) at Nabumali High School in Mbale District.

The trainees are volunteer police officers going through Parade drills and classroom lessons preparing them to assist the police in the upcoming general elections.

Taitika emphasized that the training area is strictly out of bounds and anyone who attempts to access it risks being arrested.

“The public must be aware that the training of the elections PSCs is taking a short period, and therefore relatives of the trainees must take note,” Taitika said.

He further expressed gratitude for the impressive turnout of successful candidates. More than 4,000 individuals have reported for training, and police continue to encourage all shortlisted applicants to do the same.

Taitika also urged the trainees to maintain discipline and respect throughout the course.
