JUST IN! Kumi District Gets New Prisons Commander in Latest Appointments

The Commissioner General of Prisons has appointed a new District Prisons Commander for Kumi in the latest appointments as communicated by the Prisons Services Spokesperson, Frank Baine today, Thursday, February 12, 2026.

 

The new appointments that include 17 others saw SP Geoffrey Agona appointed KUMI DPC and with instructions to take up office with immediate effect.

 

Other appointments include; ASP Anthony Kasozi appointed OC Ragem Prison, ASP Adrean Wajambuka-OC Patongo Main Prison, ASP Dorothy Nampunde – OC Magala Prison, ASP Kataate Tumwijukye – Deputy OC Murchison Bay Prison.

 

Others are: ASP Timothy Wamwa – Deputy OC Ragem Prison, ASP Sunday Tayu – OC Dokolo Prisons, ASP Agnes Namukasa – OC Kiburara Prison, ASP Sam Obong Ongom – OC Kiyunga Prison and ASP KoraDI Twijukye – OC Ngogwe Prison.

 

Among the new appointees are; ASP Ambrose Kiwuuka – OC Odina Prison, ASP Nesterio Guy Besize – OC Erute Prison, SASP Angelica Tumushabe – Staff Officer (East Central), ASP Kennedy Anguzu – In-Charge Livestock at Isimba Prison, PO I Peter Nyangabyaki – OC Rubirizi Prison, PO I Abdu Musimenta – OC Kangulumira Prison, PO I Isa Kyeswa Ziwa – Deputy OC Kakuuto Prison and PO II Godfrey Mujwiga – Deputy OC Lwabenge Prison.

 

According to Frank Baine, all these appointments made in the interest of professionalizing the Uganda Prisons Service and improve service delivery take immediate effect.
