Uganda Secondary Sports Association (USSSA) has today Friday, 10th April, 2026 officially kicked off with foot games for both boys and girls in Manafwa district.
Manafwa district is the 2026 host with the games being played at Butiru Comprehensive Secondary School located in Butiru Town Council.
According to Isaiah Sasaga, the chairperson of Bugisu Sports Association also doubling as MP of Bududari East constituency in Sironko district, the games are going up to next week on Monday.
He warned schools against hiring none students to participate in the games saying they will be arrested because it’s illegal.
He names schools to participate in Boys Group as: A: Bugisu High School located at Mbale city, Butiru Comprehensive, Bumbo SS located in Namisindwa district and Sironko Parents located at Sironko district.
In Group B: Nabongo SS located at Bulambuli district, Nakaloke SS located at Mbale city, Buwokoro Christian, Bubutu SS all from Namisindwa district and Bushika SS from Bududa.
Group C: Bududa SS, Nkoma SS, St. Edward SS, and Bugunzu Seed School.
Group D: St. Joseph Buyaga, St. Mary’s High School, Mbale, Sisuni Seed School, and Bubiita Seed School.
Then in Group E: Magale SS, Mbale High School,Butiru Model School,Masaba SS
Group F: Nabumali High School, Mbale Progressive SS, St. Peter Claver SS, Sironko Standard SS, and Bumayoka Seed School.
Then in Girls Football Groups; Group A, Nkoma S.S, Busiu S.S, Bududa S.S, Bubulo Girls and LwakhaKha SS
In Group B Buteza Seed, Mbale High School, Bubiita Seed and Buwagogo SS
Group C: Magale S.S, Joy S.S, Nabbongo SS and Sironko Parents.
Group D: Nabumali High School, Green Pasture, St Joseph Buyaga and Destiny H/S Keato
Group E: Butiru Christian Comp, Mbale S.S, Buyaka Parents, Nalusala Seed and Bubutu S.S.
Then Group F: Bugisu High School,St Thomas, Bulucheke S.S and Butiru S.S.
