BUTALEJA: Former Parish Chief Sentenced for Forging Diploma Certificate

The Butaleja Magistrates Court, through a plea bargain, has convicted and sentenced the former Parish Chief of Muyagu Parish for forging a Diploma Certificate to access the job.

 

Mulogo Juma was sentenced today, Thursday, April 30, 2026 to a fine of Shs1 million and barred from holding any government office for the next five years.

 

Mulogo was found guilty of using a forged academic transcript for a Diploma in Public Administration and Management which he used to secure employment in 2021 as the Parish Chief of Muyagu Parish in Butaleja District.

 

He has also refunded part of the salary he had earned amounting to Shs3,690,000 which was deposited on the Butaleja District Local Government account.
