The Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Duties as well as Kayunga District National Resistance Movement (NRM) Chairperson, has perished in a fatal car accident.
The incident occurred at Ssuka village near Lake Oil along Kayunga–Jinja Road in the wee hours of Monday morning on May 18, 2026. The deceased was first rushed to Kayunga hospital before being transferred to Nakasero hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Moses Karangwa demise was confirmed and announced by the Minister for Presidency, Hon. Milly Babalanda on her X page.
In her condolence message, Hon. Milly Babalanda said:
“It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of the Senior Presidential Advisor and Chairperson of NRM Kayunga District, Moses Karangwa Kalisa, following a tragic accident.”
Babalanda noted that Karangwa, was a valued member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), and will be remembered for his loyalty to the party.
Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Balaam Barugahare Ateenyi, described the departed NRM honcho as a loyal patriot whom he says recently hosted the birthday celebrations of General Muhoozi’s, Kasiki in Kayunga on the same day he graduated from Kampala University.
“Thank you, Mr. Karangwa, for your love, dedication, and unwavering support for NRM party and H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Your contribution and friendship will always be remembered,” Minister Balaam Barugahare appreciated the deceased’s contributions towards the NRM party.
Meanwhile, the deceased was the proprietor of Sauti FM in Kayunga district and City FM in Jinja City.
