The Kapelebyong District Authorities have dismissed rumors of the district having suspected Ebola patients.
According to a press release from the Kapelebyong District Communication Officer, they have not received any information on any Ebola suspects.
He stated that the public should dismiss the misleading information with the least amount of consideration it deserves.
Emmanuel Opio, the district medical team’s communication officer, stressed that no such rumors have been heard. He stated that such information misleads people, and that the person providing such false and unsubstantiated information is an enemy of the nation.
Opio claimed that the surveillance team remains steadfast and that they have no information about any Ebola suspects in the district. He did, however, advocate continuing adherence to SOPs, urging the populace to wash their hands, refrain from hand shaking, and be careful in observing SOPs.
