Police in Bukedea Central Police Station in Bukedea district have this morning 6th, July 2026 revealed that the man reported to have been murdered on Friday night, actually just fell off the boda boda motorcycle, dying on the spot.
On Saturday morning, Kachabule residents recovered a body lying at the Bukedea-Kamaca roadside raising suspicion of murder
The deceased was later identified as Ingenious Akol, 30 years, and a resident of the same area.
However, Emmy Lorika, DPC Bukedea says a medical postmortem report detailed that the deceased succumbed to a motorcycle accident but not murder as it was alleged.
Its alleged that the deceased was drunk and afterwards boarded a motorcycle to his home but fell off the motorcycle along the way and died instantly.
“As police, we took the body for postmortem and the report indicates that the deceased fell off from the motorcycle and succumbed to injuries,” said DPC Bukedea.
Meanwhile by the time of filing this story, the body of the deceased was still at Mbale city mortuary.
