NAMISINDWA: Security Forces Arrest Runaway Lwakhakha Town Council Engineer

Joint security forces have arrested the runaway Lwakhakha Town Council Engineer having fled to Kenya ahead of Local Government Minister’s accountability inspection.

 

According to the Local Government Minister’s statement, Ken Musawo was arrested on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 through the joint efforts of security agencies.

 

“The lwakhakha town council Engineer Namisindwa district, Ken Musawo who fled to Kenya ahead of our accountability inspection, has been apprehended this morning through the joint efforts of our security agencies,” writes Balaam on his X-Handle.

 

Balaam says the Engineer had been on the run over allegations of mismanagement of road funds in the district.

 

“I commend the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, ISO, CID, Uganda Police Force, UPDF and all other security agencies for their professionalism and swift action,” writes Balaam.

 

The Minister also reveals that security is still searching for the District Engineer, Commercial Officer and the District Production Officer adding that no one is above the law.

 

 

“The fight against corruption in local governments is on, and we remain committed to ensuring accountability and value for every taxpayer’s shilling,” vows Balaam.
