NAMISINDWA: Local Gov’t P/S Directs Interdiction of 5 Senior Local District Officials

Five senior district officials are to be interdicted following a directive by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government.

 

In a letter dated Friday, 24th July, 2026, Ben Kumumanya directs the Namisindwa Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to interdict the five officials to pave way for investigation by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit.

 

The five are; David Mityero-Senior Agricultural Officer, William Lusayi-Senior Inspector of Schools, Samuel Kurobe-Senior Assistant Town Clerk, Robert Mukelule Tululukha- Civil Engineer and Ken Michael Musau- Assistant Engineering Officer.

 

The officers are accused of gross negligence, abuse of office, mismanagement of public resources and possible financial impropriety.

 

The allegations come on the heels of accountability inspection of government projects undertaken by the Ministers of Local government early this month.
