Police in Bukedi North Region have today Monday, July 27, 2026 arrested a security guard after he allegedly shot and injured a client at Sky Financial Services in Budaka Town.
The suspect has been identified as Isaac Ochen, a security guard attached to Alpha Guard Security Company while the victim is Kuchana Adams.
According to police, it is alleged that Ochen shot Kuchana Adams during an altercation at the financial services premises on Saturday.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the left hand and was rushed to Budaka General Clinic for first aid.
The scene of crime was visited by a team of officers led by D/ASP Angura Francis Leonard and ASP Kamurari John. Also on the team was D/Sgt Naikesa Sarah of SOCO, CID officers, and other uniform personnel.
According to Wilfred Kyempasa the Bukedi North region police spokesperson, Police recovered the gun and one cartridge from the scene. The suspect was arrested and is currently in custody at Budaka Central Police Station.
Investigations into the attempted murder case are ongoing.
Kyempasa confirmed the incident and said further details will be communicated in due course.
