MP Ebwalu Establishes 25M Daily Market in SOROTI City

SOROTI CITY
The Soroti City West Member of Parliament (Independent) Jonathan Ebwalu has today 1st November, 2021 established a 25 million daily Market in Soroti City in a bid to boost trade.
The market has been set-up and it’s construction commenced today in Opau ber Trading centre, Arapai Ward in Soroti City West Division.
While ground breaking the construction of the daily Market on Monday afternoon, MP Ebwalu said that the market will now help boost trade between the communities of Arapai and it’s neighborhood.
This kind of market is the first of its kind to be established in Soroti and according to Ebwalu the market will host over 2000 vendors.
He said that the new market is part of his initiatives in developing his voters.
Communities in Arapai have had to trek over 10 kilometers to access daily markets located in the middle of Soroti City.
The development is not the first that the MP has done since he was elected Member of Parliament in January. Ebwalu has since established a Health Centre III whose construction is nearingĀ  completion.
He also last week set-up a 85 Million shillings seed secondary school meant to boost education.
Joshua Edogu, the Soroti City Mayor commended the Member of Parliament for his kind heart and supporting the underprivileged community members.
He told the media that Ebwalu has since he was declared member of Parliament whole heartedly supported the local people and his projects are seen in all parts of his constituency.
Isaac Asaku, the Secretary for Works in Soroti City who doubles as the Spokesperson for Ebwalu also revealed that the Member of Parliament has pledged to support vulnarable women, youth and PWD’s.
